Two members of the Oklahoma State football program were honored by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, as wide receiver Dillon Stoner was presented with a National Football Foundation College Player of the Year Award and Mack Butler, OSU’s director of football operations, was presented with the Merv Johnson Integrity in College Coaching Award.

They were honored during the 35th Annual All Sports and Scholar Athlete Awards Luncheon at The Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City.

Stoner, a junior from Tulsa, is one of six players who was given the player of the year honor by the Oklahoma chapter of the NFF. He joins players from Langston, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma and Tulsa.

With 1,206 career receiving yards and eight touchdowns, Stoner is the most productive returning receiver on OSU’s roster outside of Biletnikoff finalist Tylan Wallace. He is also a two-time Academic All-Big 12 first team selection.

Butler has served as OSU’s director of football operations since 2009, and also served the same role at OSU from 2001 to 2004. Prior to his return to Stillwater, he served as LSU’s assistant athletic director for football administration from 2005-08. He also worked as an assistant coach and as the director of operations at Tulsa before his first stint at Oklahoma State.

Butler has been to more than 20 bowl games during his career in college football and was also named the Director of Football Operations of the Year by FootballScoop in 2014.
