With the approval of the Tulsa City/County Health Department, the Wanenmacher Tulsa Arms Show – the “World’s Largest Gun Show” – will resume on April 10 and 11 at Tulsa’s Expo Square.
“The health department sent our COVID safety plan back with their recommendations and restrictions three weeks ago,” said Mark Wanenmacher. “With no capacity requirements.”
Wanenmacher, the son of show founder Joe Wanenmacher, said the situation is “completely different” than last October when the show was canceled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
All the hospitals were full and there were little or no ICU beds in the state.
“By all accounts we’ve heard, everyone is really excited to finally get to come back – I know I am looking forward to seeing old friends,” Mark Wanenmacher said.
The hours for the show are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 10 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 11. The show has more than 4,000 display tables and fills up the Expo Square Center.
Admission is $10 for adults, $3 for children under 12.
Since 1955, the Indian Territory Gun Collector’s Association has sponsored two gun shows each year.
The next Wanenmacher Tulsa Arms Shows have been scheduled for November 13-14, 2021; April 2-3, 2022; November 12-13, 2022; April 1-2, 2023; and November 11-12, 2023.
