Despite the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, Wanenmacher’s Tulsa Arms Show – the “world’s largest gun show” – will go on for the 65th year in a row on November 14-15 at Expo Square in the Tulsa Fairgrounds.

In March, Joe Wanenmacher and his family canceled the show on April 4-5 due to the pandemic concerns.

Other gun shows in Baltimore and Indianapolis had been canceled just a week before. Some states and cities had capped public events at 250 people at that point in the pandemic.

“We are still planning to hold the November 14-15 show as scheduled,” Wanenmacher said on his website, www.tulsaarmsshow.com. “Everyone must wear a mask and follow Covid-19 protocol (signs with more details will be posted). If you have a problem wearing a mask, please stay home. Safety of our exhibitors, spectators and employees are of utmost importance. Dangerous activity will get you removed without a refund.”

The show fills Expo Square and this year exhibitor’s will have more than 4,200 tables with displays. If someone spends the whole 18 hours that the show is open to the public and divide that by 4,200 tables, they will have 15.4 seconds to look at each table.

It is estimated that each show, scheduled twice a year, brings in more than $19 million to the Tulsa economy.

Wanenmacher boasts that the show has “the world’s largest selection of antique, collector and modern firearms, knives and accessories.”

Wanenmacher said any of the best antique dealers come to Tulsa, bringing excellent, hard to find antique firearms.

The show’s hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for children (under age 12 admission is free).
