If LeBron James truly cares about human rights, he would speak out against the communist dictatorship in Red China.

But James won’t because he stands to make a fortune in NBA marketing in China.

Instead, James and other NBA players, coaches and owners are protesting against police any time a black person runs afoul of the law.

James and his pals have every right to protest. And there are examples – very few, actually – of police officers who break the law themselves by mistreating suspects and treating minorities different than white people.

But James goes a step too far in glorifying Black Lives Matter, a Marxist group that would like to see the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution, the defunding and dismantling of police departments and forced reparations for white America’s role in slavery. (By the way, America led the way for the world in elimination of legalized slavery and the expansion of civil rights to minorities).

But who really cares about what LeBron James thinks?

The overreactions by sports figures should be taken in context. If a police officer unjustly attacks a suspect – black or white – he or she should be charged with a crime and given a fair trial. That is true justice.

Meanwhile, more and more Americans are turning off their TV sets because of these protests and the NBA is losing fans.
