Back some 11 years ago or so, the City of Tulsa went into $14 million in debt to buy new trash carts for city residents, whether we wanted them or not.

Each resident was given a recycling cart and a trash can and charged $4 a month for them.

After all these years, at $4 a month, are these trash carts and that $14 million paid off yet? And if not, how many more years will it be before they are?

As from what we were told, the $4 monthly increase would drop off our trash bill when the $14 million debt for them was paid.

So how much longer will it be since it was claimed to not be a permanent increase?
