Students at Baylor University signed a petition to stop Matt Walsh from giving a speech on campus.  Mr. Walsh is a Christian, conservative commentator on social media and his speech was titled: “The War On Reality: Why The Left Has Set Out To Redefine Life, Gender And Marriage.”

Baylor University has a population of 16,787 students, and apparently more than 2,000 signed the petition that was started by a gay, Baylor graduate named Parker Hill, II.  Mr. Hill claims to be a Christian, and yet he believes Matt Walsh’s ideas are a form of “hate speech” and should not be allowed on the campus of Baylor University.

Baylor sophomore, Zachary Miller, the chairman of the Baylor Young Americans for Freedom (the organization that invited Matt Walsh to speak), says the purpose of the speech is to advocate for traditional morality – and the flyers that were sent out advertising the event were approved by Baylor Student Activities and were not meant to offend anyone.

Fortunately, Matt Walsh was allowed to give his speech without being interrupted, and was able to clearly explain his Bible-based beliefs as to:

  • Why abortion is evil (it’s taking the life of on innocent human being)
  • Why biological sex is unchangeable (transgenderism is a myth), and
  • Why marriage can only be between one man and one woman (no matter what people might think, nor what the Supreme Court might rule).

Note:  Jesus’ position on these three subjects is quite clear . . . read Matthew 15:16-20; 19:1-6, 13-21 (KJV).

You would think all the students at a private, Baptist university like Baylor, would surely welcome Matt Walsh’s Christian message.  However, there are many people in our world today, espousing falsehoods like those being spoken by Parker Hill, II.  And unfortunately, that’s causing many innocent people to be misled.

God’s Word tells us there will be a “falling away” in the last days.  People will depart from the faith, and instead of following sound doctrine, they will search for, and follow seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils that affirm their own lustful thinking.  They will profess to know God, but their detestable, disobedient, and worthless deeds prove otherwise.  (See 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:3-4 and Titus 1:16) Pay attention America!   Events like this clearly indicate we’re living in those “last days.”  Don’t let anyone lull you into thinking otherwise.  Make sure you are ready at all times to meet Jesus face to face.
